  1. Beautiful window treatments! I have just recently painted my dining room medium yellow and have dark sage green upholstered chairs (the set is a medium brown wood). My window treatments are also yellow with brown muted criss-cross stripes. It looks "out of sorts". Any suggestions for tying it all together?

  2. Absolutely...........try to find some dark sage green gimp and glue it to the bottom and/or inside edges of your window treatments. If you have some other piece of furniture that can use some of the yellow fabric that would also tie it in nicely....another stool cushion, table runner, etc. GOOD LUCK!

  3. Thanks so much for the professional advice. I'm a novice seamstress, so what is GIMP?

  4. Gimp is a decorative flat braid used alot on cornice boards and upholstery. It covers up the raw edges of fabric to make it look nice and finished. It comes in lots of different colors.
